UFO Theories

Many people around the world claim to have seen aliens and UFOs or say that they have found evidence of their existence and that they are already are amongst us. Some affirm that they have been taken by the aliens on their spaceship. There, some would have been submitted to painful experiences, others told how to build a better world.

Others think they have evidence that the U.S. Government had found aliens on the crash site in Rosewell after World War II even though the official statement says it was a balloon.

Then there is the huge explosion in the siberian forest in 1908 which is believed to be a meteor crash. But no physical meteoric evidence was found, thus some believe it was an Ufo-crash or even an alien attack. Another credible theory speaks of a bolide (a meteor that explodes before impact).

There are thousands of these theories, alien-sightings and conspiracies and most are only the product of imagination but some are based on more important evidence. This is why the U. S. Force founded ,in 1952, a special commission called „Blue Book" in order to examine these cases. After 17 years „Blue Book" was closed without there having been found any sign of alien life.

But did people always see Ufos or is it only a phenomenon linked to the emerging science-fiction literature? The first accumulation of witnesses was in the late 19th century when Jules Verne created the science-fiction genre and ,later on,other authors wrote stories about beings living on Mars.

Thus the appearance of the alien-phenomena is linked to the beginnings of science-fiction and the whole thing is a product of our imagination. Some would argue that evidence of aliens can be found in history like the „saints coming out of heaven" which they interpret as „aliens coming from a better world" or strange, ufo-like or monster-alien-like paintings on buildings of different cultures.

But these affirmations can also be discarded because they are only wrong interpretations of a basic human behaviour: When we can't explain things we imagine explanations and so did our ancestors with many things. Thus they painted imaginary creatures and believed in the supernatural but this had nothing to do with visitors from outer space.
